No fewer than twenty-two passengers dead, 11 others injured in a ghastly motor accident.

The deadly accident took place alongside Kankia-Danja road in Kafur Local Govt Area of Katsina State.

Reacting to the development, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Abubakar Usman confirmed the tragic incident.

Usman disclosed that the crash involved two J5 buses carrying about 36 passengers, mostly ladies and kids.

He said: “22 individuals had been burnt to death, 11 critically injured in the crash and 3 others got here  unharmed when the 2 cars burst into flames.”

An eyewitness, Shafi’u Suleiman, stated those involved in the crash, included a bride, her pals and some married women and children who had been escorting her to her marital house.

 

Usman added that efforts were still ongoing to determine their identities, including that  the victims have taken to  General Hospital in Malufashi for treatment.

He further said the remains of the ones  burnt beyond recognition have  buried.
