Ademola Lookman made a brilliant back-post run to give Atalanta an early lead with a well-taken finish (12′), Lookman doubled that lead with a sublime strike after nutmegging Granit Xhaka (26′).

  • Atalanta’s second major trophy of all-time
  • Their first major trophy in 61 years
  • Their first European trophy

Their only other major honour was the Coppa Italia in 1963.
