Lisa-Marie Presley has said that she was up against a ‘huge amount of scrutiny’ and didn’t want to have kids with Jackson
Lisa-Marie Presley has revealed that her marriage to Michael Jackson was ‘very real’ but she ‘feared’ having his children.
The now 51-year-old daughter of Elvis Presley was married to Jackson between 1994 and 1996, during which time the King of Pop battled allegations of sexual abuse.
Their time together was slammed as a publicity stunt by many conspiracy theorists, with some even saying that they had not even consummated the marriage.
Lisa-Marie has refuted these claims and said that they were very much in love with each other and that they did enjoy a sex life together.
There was a sticking point about children and Lisa-Marie has admitted to feeling afraid to have kids with Jackson and the world they would come into, with such a huge media spotlight on the singer.
Jackson reportedly was so frustrated with Lisa-Marie’s stance on children, he allegedly threatened to leave and sleep with Debbie Rowe, so that he could start his family.
It turns out that this is what happened, with Jackson marrying Rowe as soon as his divorce from Lisa-Marie came through, with Rowe bearing a child almost immediately.
Speaking to Oprah in 2010, Lisa-Marie said: “There was (pressure to have children) and I did want to, I just wanted to make sure.
“I was looking into the future and I was thinking I don’t ever want to get into a custody battle with him.
“I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to go head to head with him so I need to make sure that everyone around is good.
“I know, I’ve had children. I knew bringing children into certain circumstance, you have to make sure everything’s safe and secure and okay.
“I wanted to make sure that he and I were really united. We were going to be up against so much.”
One of the employees who worked on Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, has questioned the legitimacy of the relationship with Lisa-Marie.
Sandy Domz was as an administrative assistant for Jackson and has suggested that the pair did not spend much time together when staying at the property.
She told CBS documentary Inside Edition: “Michael would get a hold of some underwear and throw them on the floor.
“They were also sprayed with perfume and it was to make it look like Lisa-Marie had been in the bedroom.

“But to my knowledge, she was never in there. She was either in the rose room or had slept on the guest beds.”
With some saying that the marriage was a sex-less relationship, Lisa-Marie spoke out on Oprah to put the rumours to bed.
She said: “It was a consummated marriage. Yeah, that’s all I have to say on it. To me, the marriage was real.”
