Mouka, a leading name in Nigeria’s sleep industry, has teamed up with the Lagos Food Bank for its Nutritious Meal Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN) program.
This collaboration aims to enhance the lives of vulnerable mothers and children significantly.
The Lagos Food Bank, a private non-profit organization, focuses on combating hunger, reducing food waste, and addressing malnutrition.
Their targeted programs aim to improve the nutrition and food intake of pregnant women and their infants who lack essential nutrients during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Mouka’s commitment to social responsibility is long-standing.
The company has a history of partnering with government bodies, NGOs, and allied organizations to aid the less privileged.
Yemisi Obadina, Senior Brand and Innovation Manager at Mouka, emphasized the company’s dedication to Nigerians’ well-being.
“At Mouka, the comfort and health of Nigerians are our top priority,” Obadina stated.
“This partnership reflects our belief that quality nutrition and sleep are crucial to a child’s well-being, and we are proud to contribute to this cause.”
As part of this initiative, Mouka has donated 50 Dreamtime mattresses designed specifically for children.
The Dreamtime mattress features a water-resistant yet breathable cover that keeps the foam core dry and maintains a comfortable sleeping temperature.
It is crafted with appropriate foam density for children and comes in appealing designs for both boys and girls.
This year, Mouka has also provided business grants to female entrepreneurs in collaboration with Herconomy, a fintech company focused on empowering women.
Additionally, the company has supported various state governments by donating products and baby items to welcome newborns in public hospitals.
Founded in 1959, Mouka is a member of the Dolidol International Group, headquartered in Morocco.
Among its latest innovations is the Wellbeing Regal Plus mattress, designed with a pillow top and orthopedic core for enhanced lower back support and improved posture.
