Nevertheless, the Area 2 Command has intensified security measures, particularly at the Sea Port, to thwart nefarious activities that threaten national interests.

In a significant achievement, the Command seized seven containers following actionable intelligence and collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Onne Port Chapter.

These containers were jointly examined, revealing substantial quantities of prohibited items:

– 9,100 pieces of Chilly Cutter

– 2,175,000 tablets of Hyergra tablets (200mg)

The estimated value of the seizures amounts to ₦11,200,000,000, underscoring the significant economic impact of such illegal activities.

Those responsible face severe penalties, including imprisonment, pending further investigation.

Furthermore, in revenue generation, the Command reported substantial figures, having already achieved 50.5% of its annual target with ₦312,094,367,124.58 generated in the first half of the year. In July alone, ₦48,056,806,692.00 has been generated, with five working days remaining.
