The Ogun State government has confirmed 5 new cases of coronavirus disease in the State.
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 381 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
Out of the 381 new cases confirmed, five cases were recorded in Ogun
Confirming the development, the State Government in a tweet via its official Twitter handle on Friday also said that 20 patients have been discharged after showing full recovery from the virus.
The tweet reads, “COVID-19 update as at 10:00pm, 7th May 2020.
“5 new cases of COVID-19 Ogun cases confirmed.
“Total confirmed cases in Ogun are now 100.
“Total number of active cases 78.
“A total number of 20 patients have been discharged with 2 deaths recorded.
“Residents are advised to stay home and stay safe.”
