Ime Bishop alias Okon Lagos, a popular comedian and Nollywood actor, has announced the death of his mother.
On Saturday, the actor announced her mother’s death in an Instagram post, revealing that her loss has depleted him and left him numb.
“You could have just waited a little longer.” I’m exhausted and empty. It’s my own mother calling. I’ve given up on her. He wrote, “#okonlagos #okonrepublic #iyammi#chisos #wosappen #okonoflagosz.”
However, the actor did not specify when or how his mother died.
Okon Lagos, as he is affectionately known, is from Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom state.
Okon Lagos began his acting career as a child and has appeared in over 100 films.
He rose to prominence after appearing in Emem Isongin’s 2008 indigenous film, “Uyai.”
Since 2013, the actor has been married to Idara Bishop, with whom he has two children.
