Olori Silekunola Naomi, the wife of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has separated from the monarch.

On Thursday, the queen declared on her Instagram account, “I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife,” as she described herself as the Queen of the People and mother of her son.

Naomi went on to accuse the monarch of hypocrisy, claiming that the Ooni’s public image differs from his true character.

“I bless the Lord almighty for His faithfulness in the last three years of my marriage,” she writes in her post. It isn’t how far you travel in life that matters. Still, though Satan may buffet me if trials come, I have this blessed assurance controlling all situations and saying to me, “It is well with my soul.” Certainly, everything is fine. With faith in my heart and love for the keeper of the ancient throne of Ife, I made my way into the ancient throne of Ife.

“There are a few impressions I’d like to correct. If anyone knows otherwise, they are free to provide evidence. Let it be known that his majesty’s decision to move on was not influenced by the fact that he is married to another queen. As many would like to believe, throughout our history,

“I never approached him with any kind of revelation, as many assumed he contacted me first and made his proposal public several months later.”
Many people have mistakenly assumed that the marriage was arranged. I had no idea the prophetess had said she had introduced me to him. Instead, after I agreed to marry him, he introduced her to me. I was only being polite out of courtesy to him.

“I had never been pregnant in my life prior to Tadenikawo; my son is my first pregnancy with medical documentation to back it up.” My niece is the girl who is said to be my daughter. I tried my hardest to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I finally realized I only had one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done.

“Today, I declare the beginning of a new day and the end of a chapter.” Today, I am a mother to God’s one-of-a-kind gift. I am no longer a slave to my perfectionist thoughts. I am now announcing that I will no longer be referred to as the Ooni of Ife‘s wife or the Queen of Ile-Ife, but as the Queen of the People and the mother of my adorable Prince.”

“He is God’s way of saying, “I know everything.” There will be people who are dissatisfied in situations like this. I am now appealing to all parties involved to allow God’s peace with the knowledge that there is a lovely little boy between us. I’d like to express my gratitude to all of my prayer partners and loved ones. I am still dedicated to all of my projects, charitable work, and ministry. I intend to concentrate my efforts in this new season.
