Dr Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State, has accepted the resignation of Hon Biodun Oyebanji, Secretary to the State Government, from his cabinet.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti, the resignation, which was conveyed in a letter to the Governor on December 3, 2021, will take effect on Tuesday, December 7th.
Oyebanji resigned as Secretary to the State Government citing his intention to run in the upcoming governorship election in the state.

In accepting Oyebanji’s resignation, Governor Fayemi thanked him for his outstanding contributions to the administration since its inception in 2018 and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Remember that Governor Fayemi directed last week that anyone serving in his administration who wants to run in the governorship primaries should resign by December 18th.
