Prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministries has issued a passionate plea to the newly inaugurated President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa , urging immediate action to end the ongoing crisis affecting Nigerians living in South Africa.
Speaking from his residence in Lagos, Prophet Ikuru emphasized the need for unity across the African continent, advocating for tolerance and acceptance of all visitors within South Africa’s borders.
“Africa is one,” Prophet Ikuru declared. “There should be unity among us. South Africans must be tolerant and accepting of every visitor in their country.
The violence and discrimination against Nigerians must stop.”
The prophet’s appeal comes in the wake of numerous reports of xenophobic attacks and violence against foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians, in South Africa.
These incidents have sparked international outcry and calls for stronger measures to protect the lives and properties of all Africans residing in the country.
In addition to his plea to the South African President, Prophet Ikuru also addressed the political turmoil in Rivers State, Nigeria.
He called on former governor Nyesom Wike and the current governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to resolve their differences and end the conflict that has led to the loss of lives and destruction of property.
“There should not be any loss of lives and property due to misunderstandings,” Prophet Ikuru stated. “Let peace reign and work on the progress of the state. There cannot be progress in a state where there is crisis and power tussles.”
Prophet Ikuru’s call for peace and unity resonates deeply in a time where political instability and violence threaten the social and economic fabric of communities. His message highlights the critical need for leaders to prioritize the safety and well-being of their citizens above all else.
The prophet’s remarks have garnered attention from various quarters, prompting discussions on the roles of leadership and community in fostering a harmonious and prosperous society. As the situation in both South Africa and Rivers State continues to evolve, the call for peace and unity remains more pertinent than ever.
