The Tajik aluminum company produced over 26,800 tonnes of aluminum in the first quarter of 2020, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Talco official representative Igor Sattarov.
He specified that the indicator was 12% higher than the volume of metal production in the first three months of 2019. “Despite the financial and manufacturing difficulties, according to the results of the first quarter of 2020, aluminum production at the Tajik aluminum plant increased by 12% compared to the same period last year,” the Talco representative said.
Sattarov noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting crisis, Talco will have to revise its forecast indicators. Sattarov added that reconstruction and restoration of the company’s production capacities, which will be done by the Chinese company China Machinery Engineering Corporation, will begin this September.
